Dark Hammer

Darkie

Dark Hammer was a pen name first created in 1989, as a hero created to be sent to Marvel Comics.  That character never got sent in because a similar character named Dark Hawk with a similar story came out shortly after.  Needless to say that name stayed on, and has been a trademark for my art and stories.  For the last 25 years I have been working on anthropomorphic (furry) art, but in 2012, my wife and a friend talked me into going to school to improve on what I love.

While I am currently working on getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts at the Art Institute of Portland, I am also balancing working here, a blended family and working part time.  When not doing animation homework, I enjoy science fiction movies and playing on the X-box 360.

And if calling me Dark Hammer seems a little weird, I also answer to Darkie and Jim.

* * Edit: I will be graduating with my B.A. in December of 2016! * *

Gayle Yeier

Gayle

I am a creative who has been practicing art and animation for several years. I was raised in Alturas, California, and began drawing in middle school. Early on I was interested in the human body, and my nude studies nearly had me removed from school; which only drove me to study further and defy the public’s opinion about ‘art’. I enjoy studying the human figure and learning about it’s movements.

I attended Butte College in Chico, California, where I developed my interest in animation. From there I found myself up north in Portland for school, and Graduated with a B.A. in Media Arts and Animation in 2016. I was able to more openly indulge my interest in the human body and locomotion, and was introduced to several opportunities to bring that interest to game players and the rest of the public by James Woods at Dark Hammer Productions.

At this time we are working on some future projects with artists outside our core group.  This is exciting for us as well as for them and for you.  Fresh new artists give them a shot at glory, and keep you entertained!  On top of that, spreading the artwork around increases the productivity and gets a quicker release date on new titles, so please keep an eye out in the near future for links and bios of some of these up and comers!

Hannah King

Hannah grew up in Sisters Oregon, and started her artistic journey when she was in elementary school. As she grew older, Hannah knew that she would be unsatisfied with the 9-5 lifestyle, and wanted her work to be something she loved. She earned a bachelors in animation and now uses her talents as a freelance illustrator and storyboard artist in Portland Oregon.
